West Burton, acclaimed by many to be one of the most beautiful villages in England, rests snugly in a deep sheltered valley at the juncture of Walden Dale, Bishopdale and Wensleydale.
Walden Beck skirts the village and descends over rocky outcrops in a spectacular waterfall with deep
pools and minor cascades held in a tree lined gorge to form a natural arena of beauty and relaxation.
The village surrounds an expansive green centred by an ancient market cross and, because of its position
away from the main traffic routes, still offers traditional rural tranquillity.
