Wensleydale Creamery
Based in the bustling market town of Hawes, Wensleydale Creamery is the home of Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese and a must visit!
You can do a factory tour to see how Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese is made, and there is an amazing tasting room with over 20 different cheeses to taste and buy. There is a cafe and a restaurant up there or in the town itself there is a fantastic Fish and Chip Shop!
Make sure to walk round Hawes, there are some amazing Antiques Shops and other quirky shops.
On the way home come back via Hardraw (5 minutes from Hawes) and see Britain's tallest waterfall at The Green Dragon- which is the setting of "The Drovers Inn" in the new series of All Creatures Great and Small.

Bolton Castle

Bolton Castle is only 10 minutes from Cottages at The Grange and we definitely recommend it as a day out for all the family- there's a huge range of exciting things to do and you will find a raft of sights, sounds and smells which bring the castle to life and make for a truly memorable trip, plus the view over Wensleydale from the top is one of the best in all the Yorkshire Dales!
